The "Sushi" Glass Base
This original artistic glass piece designed by "Yaz" and was inspired by Asian architectural style. This piece became nicknamed "sushi" for its look.

The "Sushi" candle base is Canadian handcrafted from recycled glass using the finest quality ingredients. Each is poured and worked by a craftsmen and each is a unique "one of a kind" piece of glass art with a weight of about five pounds.

The "Sushi" Glass Base is available in clear and sandblasted finishes. The clear is transparent and the sandblasted "frosted" finish is translucent, both able to illuminate light. Sand Blasting "roughs up" the surface of the glass and will show marks from the oil of skin by fingers, candle wax etc. This effect can be evened for an all over beautiful satiny finish by using a tiny amount of car wax and soft clean cloth and rubbing the entire surface. As well, the sand blasted finish can be roughed up again by gently using steel wool.

The colors, although decoratively in style, were actually inspired by our natural west coast backdrop; ocean and mountains.

The sushi is shown above with a Leaf Art silver "cake" candle which really reflects it's Asian design inspiration origin. This duo is a fantastic gift and has often been presented as a wedding gift or corporate thank you gift.

Handmade candle from premium paraffin wax.
Candle glows when burning due to translucent wax revealing chunks with glints of silver leaf on the candle walls. Beautiful original and unique with the look of a glacier.

Note* If candle not burned to edge, wax wall is maintained creating a lovely glowing lantern case that can be re-used with tea lights.

Our Yaz Art handmade scented candles are original designs using the highest quality ingredients including highly refined premium paraffin wax, quality fragrance oils, and wicks plus all formulations were tested to ensure consistent clean burning candles. The fragrances we have selected are custom blends unique to our candles and are light to moderately scented. Each candle comes beautifully packaged with proper burning instructions to be read for effective burning and longevity of the candle, as well as safety.

Remember: One set of burning instructions does not suit all candles. Yes, there are basic rules to burning a candle, however, do look at individual candle instructions since they are meant to comply with the style of a particular candle. It is especially important with small diameter pillars, to keep the wick trimmed and flame centered.
